Why did $WLFI "Flop" Hard After Listing?
$WLFI was once praised with promises of "financial freedom" and created a frenzy no less than a Trump-style memecoin. However, the reality after its listing has led many investors to experience a painful "reality check." Main reason: 20% token unlocked at TGE → sharks presale rush to the exchange As soon as the token was partially unlocked, presale buyers quickly took profits. The massive selling pressure caused the price to almost instantly collapse. Thin order book → each dump is a "sledgehammer". The exchange lacks liquidity; when the whales sell, the price drops drastically in just a few minutes. Retail investors can hardly hold out. Wallets are locked & blacklisted → trust collapses. The announcements regarding the freezing of wallets or adding projects to the blacklist completely erode the community's trust. Instead of the feeling of "financial freedom," holders of $WLFI feel that their money is being controlled and restricted. Burn announcements → too little, too late. The project is trying to "save" itself by burning tokens, but this move is too small and occurs when the market has lost confidence, not creating any significant positive impact. Result: $WLFI did not "moon" as expected, but crash-landed right after being listed. Initial investors were not free to make profits, but were only left with the "freedom"... to lose money. Lesson learned: Hype ≠ liquidity: Just because the price rises due to hype does not mean you can easily sell without a price drop. Decentralization ≠ dev holding the blacklist button: A truly decentralized project should not allow devs to control user wallets.
