The U.S. seeks to force the divestiture of Google's advertising technology products.

On May 6, Jin10 reported that documents from the U.S. Department of Justice indicate that Google's parent company, Alphabet, should be forced to divest two of its businesses that help websites buy, sell, and provide online advertising services. A U.S. judge found that Google illegally monopolized these markets. The Department of Justice stated in the documents that Google should be ordered to immediately sell its advertising trading platform AdX, and then "phased out" the service that helps websites sell display ads, namely the Google advertising management platform DF. The documents from the Department of Justice indicate that remedial measures are necessary to terminate Google's monopoly position.
