According to BlockBeats news, on July 1st, the VIRTUAL Protocol announced on X that the governance portal feature is now live. Any wallet holding at least 0.1% of the total veVIRTUAL supply can create proposals. After a proposal is submitted, it will enter a 72-hour discussion window for public review and comments, during which voting is disabled. Once the window closes, the protocol will take a snapshot of all veVIRTUAL balances, and this block will permanently lock each wallet's voting rights for that proposal. Voting will last for 72 hours. Virgins can vote "in favor" or "against" directly on-chain. After voting ends, the results will only be valid if at least 25% of veVIRTUAL members participate.
