On August 15, Cointelegraph reported that earlier this month, the Trump family's affiliated mining company American Bitcoin Corp. purchased 16,299 Antminer U3S21EXPH from Bitmain for a total price of approximately $314 million, with a total computing power of up to 14.02 EH/s. To address tariff pressures, Bitmain announced plans to open its first ASIC manufacturing facility in the United States by the end of the year and is also planning to establish its headquarters in Florida or Texas.
