PANews August 16 news, according to Tim Beiko's summary of the 218th Ethereum execution layer core developer meeting (ACDE), the meeting reviewed the achievements of Fusaka Devnet-4, addressed stability issues, and set priorities for the upcoming Devnet-5. The focus of this meeting was to address the differences in cross-client blob fee calculations, enhance the diversity of launch nodes, and unify fork parameter logic through updates to specifications and static testing. The developers have postponed the decision on the schedule for the Sepolia and Holesky forks until the finalization of Devnet-5, to ensure stability before the public testnet release is scheduled. The Glamsterdam upgrade plan is progressing, with ePBS (EIP-7732) and BAL (EIP-7928) confirmed as the main proposals, while other proposals like FOCIL are still conditionally included. Discussions also covered improvements to the BAL specifications, a more robust pre-testing process for ACD, feedback on the "Safe-Head" proposal, as well as consensus on ModExp repricing and contract scaling, which will be stress-tested in Devnet-5.
