On September 17, Jin10 reported that according to foreign media, by 2028, Microsoft (MSFT.O) will invest $30 billion in AI infrastructure and existing operations in the UK, marking the largest financial commitment made by the tech giant in the country. Not long before this investment, Alphabet pledged to invest nearly $7 billion in the UK over the next two years, while the UK is experiencing the second state visit from US President Trump. Microsoft stated on Tuesday that its investment includes $15 billion in capital expenditure to build cloud computing and AI infrastructure in the UK, enabling the company to collaborate with Nscale to build the largest supercomputer in the country. The company added that its investment will help meet the rising customer demand while strengthening the economic ties between the UK and the US.
