Slovakia has started importing natural gas from Russia through the 'Turkish Stream' pipeline.

Jinshi data news on February 7th, local time on February 6th, Ferenc, the head of SPP, the largest natural gas supplier in Slovakia, said in an interview with local media that the company has been importing Russian natural gas through the "Turkish Stream" pipeline since February 1st, and it is expected that the delivery volume will double from April this year. Ferenc stated that the protocol reached between SPP and Gazprom is valid until 2034, and there is "no consideration to terminate the protocol". Importing Russian natural gas through the "Turkish Stream" pipeline is to reduce energy costs. The "Turkish Stream" is a natural gas pipeline that Russia uses to supply gas to Europe through Turkey, and it is one of the few remaining gas pipelines between Russia and Europe. The pipeline is intended to transport natural gas to Turkey, or through Turkey to southern or southeastern Europe.
