Making a simple atomic bomb, as the United States did under the Manhattan Project framework, would not be a difficult task 80 years later. Due to a lack of time to build and operate large facilities required for uranium enrichment, Ukraine would have to rely on plutonium extracted from spent fuel rods from Ukrainian nuclear reactors during wartime.
